Kitchen Cart

Picked up this sweet little kitchen cart at IKEA on Tuesday. The tulip is from my trip with Grandma and mom to Pike Place Market this weekend.

Flowers and Atticus.

I have loved seeing all of our flowers bloom this Spring! Aren’t these tulips beautiful? I wonder how old they are. The yellow ones with the painted stripes of red are so pretty!

So, Atticus’ mom and another mama pocket beagle had puppies yesterday… They are so beautiful and sweet. I decided that I would take some photos of Atticus today and also look through some previous ones from last fall. He has changed so much! His nose and face got longer and YES, so did his body! So slender!

This one is from October 31, 2012.

I took the photos below earlier today. I have to make so many silly noises to get him to pay attention to the camera. He used to be so intrigued by me… Not anymore. I bore him. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Omigosh, you know what this face is, right? Ahrooooo!

Bringing Spring Indoors

There’s an overcast sky today… but don’t let it fool you… Recently, we’ve had gorgeous sunny days. I’ve been so grateful to spend my afternoons outside in the backyard. My flowers are blooming and this gnarly tree/bush has sprung bright pink buds that are starting to reveal beautiful fuschia flowers. When we first moved in last fall, it was overtaking our back patio so Ryan hacked a quarter or more of it down. I’m so happy we didn’t remove the entire bush. It is has become one of my favorites!

Some birthday love…

Last week I celebrated my 31st Birthday on March 13! ๐Ÿ™‚ I can’t believe I’m in my 30s… Wow. Anyway, I had a couple of close friends over for cake and felt so loved. Ryan bought me a Tacoma Tiramisu cake and it was delicious! Check out my other super sweet gifts from the girls. (VSCO Film settings for @Megan…)

New Additions

Just a few things we’ve added to our home recently. I picked up the map at a local gift shop on Saturday when Ryan’s parents were here visiting. His mother and I went skipping around Tacoma (it was a GORGEOUS SUNNY DAY) while he and his father installed a bathroom fan in our 1961 bathroom that has been enjoying its humid climate for the past 50 years. Needless to say, I am THRILLED about the bathroom fan. Who knew it could be so exciting? And for those of you on instagram/Facebook, you’ve already seen our sweet little stereo we bought from Craigslist a couple of weeks ago. It was originally purchased in 1962. What a treasure!
