Lil’ “Itty-Bitty” had a hard night last night. He woke up and after kindly whining (and we not getting out of bed fast enough), did his business twice on the floor. Number two. We didn’t find one of his jobs until this morning. I think he has been experiencing a little anxiety with his transition to Washington and he really didn’t like being left alone while we ran errands.
Needless to say, it was a little difficult waking up this morning. We started our day off with family photos of the Aune Family. We take their annual Christmas picture and as you can see this year, Atticus came along to provide the entertainment. We followed up the shoot with a pumpkin spice latte from Metropolitan Market. If you haven’t tried one, you must – before the season ends! This afternoon, Ryan’s good friend Garrett came over to help him clean out our attic and do some pruning in our backyard. I harvested the last few “good” pears from the pear tree (obviously). We harvested a few grapes last weekend which were so delicious but this will be my first time trying the pears! Our sweet next door neighbors also brought over some cookies to go with their sweet “welcome to the neighborhood” card from last weekend. We weren’t here when they tried to bring the cookies the first time, but it was so fun meeting them today. And finally, I am getting this house picked up. We are still unpacking and I will be so thankful to get “fully” settled… Whenever that time comes.
I’m off to make some Peasant Beets for dinner… It’s dark now, otherwise I’d take some photos. I hope mine turn out as pretty as the ones on the website.
P.S. Here’s a picture of me and Atticus… I never got a really good one with Jewels…
