On Sunday, we packed up the car with baby wipes and lined the back seat with plastic and some cozy blankets and headed to the airport to pick up Atticus, our new pocket beagle puppy. Atticus spent the first 11 weeks of his life in the midwest with his sweet family, the Andre’s, and just a few weeks ago we decided his forever home would be with us in Washington! He was born on August 4th 2012 and arrived in Washington on October 28th. He weighed about 5lbs when he arrived and will be about 10lbs full grown. It’s been so much fun having him around the house and everyone at the office loves him. He’s definitely a puppy with a different personality from Jewels, our 3 (or so) year old (lost) Jack Russell, but I love him to pieces. I am learning that he gets a bit cranky and hyper before he zonks out for a nap… And if you’re not careful, he might steal the napkin off your lap during dinner (Sorry, Corey!) Atticus sure does like to snuggle… Which I love… He’s learning that taking a walk (on a leash) is enjoyable. Today was our first walk around the park across the street, which I’m sure he’ll love even more when it stops raining… I could go on… but here’s Atticus.
