It’s official we have moved into our new home. Sadly we are far from being settled and organized. However, despite the chaos, I know we will get there. Slowly. In the course of three weeks we will have closed on our first house, moved in, got a new puppy, got a new roommate, voted, finished my job with the campaign, survived a hefty amount of anxiety and stress and hosted a 1960’s housewarming party. Phew. Needless to say, I will be very thankful when Thanksgiving arrives this year.

We love our neighborhood. I’ve met one of our sweet neighbors, Ed. He and his wife have lived next door for over 50 years and were very close the owners of our home. I love the seagulls that flock to gather worms every morning in the park. And even as I type, I can hear the church bells down the street. I love our cozy den, the warm fireplace and the retro stools they left behind. It’s also been so fun finding the treasures the previous owner let us find (forgot!) We really have so much to be thankful for…

Here are a few photos of the house from the Realtor’s website. There are a few changes that we’ll need to make, but thankfully the house was basically move-in ready. We love the retro feel and have tried to find furniture and details of the same era. I’ll be excited to share some photos once we’re a bit more settled.

I really love it, Bunny! From the pictures, I think it has a home-y feeling already, even without any furniture/decor. A lot of new homes just don’t have that nice vibe, you know? Anyway, I can’t wait to see what it looks like once you’re all settled. Congratulations!!
